Silver Stick Finalists
Congratulations to the Stouffville Clippers Major Atom AA
team on being a finalist in the 2015 Silver Stick Tournament (November 20-22) that
took place in Georgina.
The team faced tough competition in the tournament playing against the Vaughan Panthers, North York Knights and Richmond Hill Stars. The boys tied their first game, battled through a tough loss in the second game and regrouped to get the win in game three. After a stressful and emotional round robin, the boys made it to the semi-finals Sunday morning. The boys came out strong to defeat Barrie 1-0 to advance to the finals. The Championship game saw Stouffville playing against the North York Knights in a rematch. The boys battled hard losing in the sudden death over-time. The Clippers really pulled together as a team with great passing, skating and hard fought battles on the boards. Great job boys!
