The Minor Bantam Clippers dropped a 5-1 decision to TNT in a York Simcoe game played Friday in Stouffville, but not before battling to a 1-1 draw through two periods. The Clippers bounced back from a 1-0 deficit in the first with Messner converting from VonKaufmann and Brown, seeing the boys applying pressure on several occasions and several key stops by Matthews keeping the score knotted.
Unfortunately, two ejections (a major for being stronger than the other player and a minor for a shoulder on shoulder bodycheck - just my opinion) along with the four walking wounded left a deserted bench and nothing left in the tank.

With four players still in sick bay and a number playing through nagging injuries, the Minor Bantam Clippers gladly welcomed Barton to the lineup for their road game September 20th in Richmond Hill. Despite dropping a 6-0 decision, there were some signs of life - solid goaltending from Matthews and Stevens, improved battling on face-offs, a five hit game from Dynes and a season high 20 shots on goal including five from Dunlop and four each from VonKaufmann and Strumos. Chins up boys.
