(22-23) U13AA win the Ajax-Pickering AA Classic Tournament
The U13 AA are the AP AA Classic Tournament Champions
Undefeated thru their first 4 games with wins over Ajax-Pickering, Cumberland, North Bay and Clarington, the U13 AA team took on Ajax Pickering in the Semifinals Sunday morning.
After outworking their opponents, the Clippers discipline and determination showed through. This highly skilled team took the semi final game 4-1.
On to the Championship final. Leading after one period 1-0, the Clippers struggled with the onset of injuries and illness. Clarington Toros pressed and pressed on a tired but resilient Clipper squad. The Toros finally solved the Clippers solid goaltending with 56 seconds left in regulation. On to 3 on 3 OT. After almost 4 minutes of back and forth non stop action, the Clippers went bar down to end their first tournament weekend with a 2-1 OT victory, celebrating as 2022 Ajax Pickering AA Classic Champions.
