(22-23) U11 AA Gene Harrington Tournament Finalists
The U11AA Clippers had a phenomenal run at the Gene Harrington Winter Ice Experience Tournament in Buffalo, NY this past weekend. The team went undefeated into the finals, with scores of 6-0, 2-2, and 4-2 in the round robin. They had an outstanding showing in the semi finals vs. The Markham Islanders, with a 4-1 victory. The game started off slow for the Clippers in the first period, falling behind by one goal, but the team stayed mentally strong, worked together, and buried 4 goals by the end of the game. The final game was a tough battle between two Canadian teams, and the Clippers fell to a strong team from St. Thomas, but they played with grit and heart and came home with a second-place finish. Congratulations to all the the boys and the coaches for an unforgettable weekend.
