If you were at the rink mid-morning on Saturday October 9th, chances are you noticed a bunch of 3 foot plus somethings all decked out in this year's brand-spanking new jerseys heading out onto the ice.
This year the Novice League is proudly sponsored by Dodge Caravan Kids.
The teams have been set-up, the coaches are on the bench and ready to go, and the kids,... well they are exactly what you would expect...
All over the ice, skating hard, back and forth, around the net, near the net, IN THE NET in some cases... with the puck, without the puck... Parents, cheering from the stands, finally got their first taste of 2010/2011 team play from their 2002/2003 players.
It's a long season ahead with much to learn and many goals, many saves, many close calls, some amazing teamwork and some absolutely spectacular coaching to cheer for, no matter which side of the rink you are sitting on.
The number one goal is having fun!
