Welcome back to hockey, peewee players!
The 2014-15 season gets underway on Saturday September 13th and each player will be scheduled for three evaluation sessions prior to team selection. Once team selection has been finalized, the team schedules will be available on the WSMHA website, as well as other pertinent information.
Peewee ice times are as follows: games are on Saturdays between 12:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. at the Stouffville Arena, rotating weekly from Pads A or B; practices are on Sundays between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on CC1 at the Clippers Complex. Each team will have one game and one practice per week, with the practice being shared between two teams.
This season we are looking forward to interleague games with Markham, as well as our annual House League Christmas Tournament.
Please remember that mouth guards and neck guards are MANDATORY and players will not be permitted on the ice without them.
Please note: starting this season the OMHA has mandated that at least one guardian of every registered player must complete the Respect in Sport (RiS) certification – parent’s version – before their player takes to the ice. Players whose guardians have not completed this certification will not be permitted to skate until it has been completed.
We are always looking for people to volunteer their time for our young hockey players. ALL volunteers on the bench or on the ice must have or be willing to get the appropriate certifications. If anyone is interested, please let the convenor know.
