Whether it is putting your stick on your front porch, having a moment of silence before the puck drops at your next game, lighting up the CN tower in green and yellow, donating to the GoFundMe account or just simply appreciating your hockey family a little more, each and every one of us in the hockey world are trying to figure out how to deal with the horrific tragedy of the Humbolt bus crash.

Last weekend the WSMHA hosted their annual rostered select tournament and observed a moment of silence before all of our championship games. The association has also decided to donate part of the proceeds that were made during the tournament to the GOFundMe account set up for the Broncos team. Kids First Fund has also made a donation, and we encourage anyone else who would like to, individually or as a team to do so. Tragedies like this defiantly have a way of putting life in a new perspective, and reminds us all that Minor hockey is more then just a sport – it is community and family.
