PWA Clippers Complete Round Robin on Winning Note Against Orillia Terriers
The Clippers completed the York Simcoe round robin play on January 30th, finishing up with 2 consecutive wins against Orillia.

Clippers hosted the Terriers on Thursday, January 27th with a 6-0 shut-out win earned by netminder Matthews (#33), and travelled to Orillia on the following Sunday to exact another 6 goal game with Stevens (#29) allowing only one goal against.

Although Orillia has struggled to take wins throughout the season they put up a fair challenge on the re-match on January 30th, holding the score to 0-0 after the first, and tieing the score at 1-1 early in the second.  However, in both matches, the Clippers took full advantage of scoring opportunities and pelted close to 40 shots at the Orillia goalie, resulting in 6 earned goals in each game, and 15 total assists.  Returning to the line-up after injury was Gibbons, (#18), popping in 2 goals and earning an assist in the series.

The relative scoring frenzy was welcome relief from the team's usual lower scoring games, and provided some jump to the team's momentum as the Clippers look next to round two of the preliminary York-Simcoe play-offs, likely facing tight competition with Newmarket.
