September Update
Our 1st month back on the ice went very quickly for the Peewee AE Clippers. To begin the season we won our home opener, which was a first for many of the kids on the team. The smiles on their faces as they skated off the ice showed how proud they were of themselves.
We participated in the Richmond Hill Earlybird tournament and unfortunately finished off at the semi-final round. However the 3-2 final against Oakville in that round does not do justice to how well our team played. Oakville took the 2-0 lead in the 2nd with 2 powerplay goals. However we were able to come back in the 3rd to tie 2-2. The 3rd and final goal that gave Oakville the win and chance to advance to the finals could have went either way.
At the end of September we stand with 7 points for the season. We have 3 wins, 3 losses and a tie.
We continue league play this evening at 8PM vs Markham Waxers at the Clipper Complex 1. This game will definatley be face paced and exciting, so we hope to see you there.
