The Tyke B Clippers entertained another boisterous group of supporters on Sunday at Stouffville Arena. Unfortunately, our boys and girls fell short despite another valiant and spirited effort.
The Colts took control of the puck possession aspect of
the game from the onset, and forced the Clippers to play diligent defense. Luca
made several key saves to keep his team in the game for as long as possible,
but by the first period buzzer, the smooth skating Colts had jumped out to a
lead.
Barrie's pressure continued throughout the second
and third periods, but they were shocked to feel more and more resistance as
the game wore on. Led by some extremely stingy goaltending from Robbie, and
rock solid defending from Sarah and Hayden, the Clippers continued to improve
throughout the course of the game as they have been in the early part of this
season.
The Tyke B Clippers will look to build upon their
strong finish on Friday eve vs the Aurora Tigers and then on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Markham on December 23rd
to avenge a recent loss to the Waxers. As always, the team is expecting their
rabid fan base to be there and be loud!
Go Clippers!!!!
