Playoff Fever
Well, the playoffs have started and boy are the kids ever excited!!! With some new hair styles showing up at the games, even some parents are showing their colours. Way to go!!
First game was Wednesday night against Orillia. With new rules for the dressing room, which by the way are working! Haha!
And two forwards not being able to be there. The coaches had to make some line changes. The defence would rotate playing forward with Nicholas as centre, even with the kids were still pumped and ready for action!
The team came out ready, the first goal came in the 1st period by Sebastian who was assisted by his line mates. Then, out came Nicholas with Cole and Sara getting a chance to be forwards! Excitement was in the crowd and on the ice for them. They worked hard together and got some good shots on net. That Orillia goalie was good.
Then in the 2nd period, Michael got a goal as he was coming off the ice with an assist from Nicholas . Later, Sebastian got another 2 goals to give him a hat trick! John being out with a broken arm, but there to cheer his teammates on, threw his hat out on the ice in celebration of Seb's hat trick!
In the 3rd period, the defence was holding the line and Nicholas dug the puck out of the corner and passed the puck over to Malcolm who scored his first goal of the season!!!! Way to go!!!
Orillia came back and scored 2 goals, making the final score 7-2! What a great start!!!!
Then another game against Orillia came that weekend. The team was determined to give their coach a win for his birthday. So, his team came out tough! And won the game!!
