Pulling together!!
On to another week of playoffs.  This time the team went up too Orillia.  After being at school all day and the long drive up the kids were a little tired.  But the coaches were able to pump them up and get them into the game.  In the 1st period, with help from his line mates and a pass from Seb, Michael was able to score the first goal of the game.  The Orillia team came back and scored one in the 2nd period, making it 1-1 going into the 3rd period.

The defense and Luca were working hard to keep Orillia from scoring and the forwards were trying to get as many shots as they could on Orillia's goalie. Two minutes into the 3rd period Lucas got a goal with help from Matthew and Nicholas.  The team kept working, Savannah dug the puck out of the corner and shot it up to Mason who skated down the ice and scored, making it a 3-1 win!!
Wednesday was to be the start of the Georgina series.  But it ended up being snowed out, so the kids had to have a practice instead and wait until the weekend to play them. There were some not so happy faces to be practicing instead of playing...haha.
Driving up to Georgina on a snowy day, again!  The kids were warming up when Luca was hurt.  The coaches looked to the bench to find a replacement.  So, out came Mason dressed to cover for Luca.  The game started with Lucas getting the first goal with help from his line mates.  The kids held the Georgina team back with some great defense!  Mason was playing amazing! In the 2nd period Matthew got a break away and scored the second goal.  But the Georgina team broke through and scored making it 2-1.  Into the 3rd period the kids were working hard to get another goal.  With lots of shots on net by everyone, Matthew got another goal from a pass by Hayden.
The team worked hard and really came together to help support each other and Mason in net.
Mason played amazing in his role as goalie.  With some poke checks, sweeping saves and a sweet glove save!!
