Round one done!
Tuesday night here in Stouffville the arena was full of excitement! It was the last game of the first round of playoffs against Georgina!
After the weekend of two games away, one in Orillia and one in Georgina. The Orillia game was their 4th game against them. The kids had a good game with Fam scoring in the 1st period with the help from David to start it off.
The 2nd period the kids got another goal making it 2-0. Into the 3rd period the Orillia team scored a goal, but Lucas, Hayden and Michael all got goals with help from their team mates. Giving them their final win against Orillia.
Then off to Georgina, the kids were very focused for this game. After losing to them the week before here at home. The team knew they had to work together, skate and get those shots on net. So, Fam started it off with a goal from a pass from Sebastian. Then Hayden flew down the ice with a breakaway and scored. Then Lucas, Mason and Fam scoring with help from their team mates. The whole team worked together to win 5-1. Now next week, home against Georgina for the last game of 4 games!
Tuesday night, the kids came out determined to win. Starting with a goal by Mason with support from Matthew and Micheal. Then came 2 more goals, Nicholas scoring from an amazing pass from Lucas. Then working well together Lucas got the next goal from a pass from his line mate Nicholas. The 2nd period both teams skating and trying to get shots on each others net. But the defense was so tough, chasing down the other team, pinching in to keep the puck in Georgina's end as well as holding the line. With Luca between the pipes keeping what shots did reach him out of the net. Held Georgina to only one goal all game.
The 3rd period started with goals from Matthew and Nicholas both assited by Lucas. The team held the lead and won the last game against Georgina 5-1 to finish that round.
