What a week!
It's been an exciting and busy week for the Stouffville Clippers Novice AE team! First too Richmond Hill for a Thursday night game. The kids were determined to win and they did! With 2 goals for Fam with assists from his line mates David and Matthew. And Lucas scoring a goal with help from David and Savannah. Then 2 breakaways by Matthew made it a 5-3 victory!
Now on to Schomberg for the next series!
I think the team and coaches' confidence was up having just beaten Richmond Hill, they came out strong! Starting with the 1st period when Malcolm scored with an assist from Michael. Then Lucas scored back to back goals with help from his line mates Hayden and Malcolm. The kids held the 2nd period with no scoring on either side. The defence played hard and were strong at the blue line. With them all pinching in and supporting Luca as much as they could. Into the 3rd period they kept it up, Matthew scoring with help from Nicholas and Lucas. Fam and Mason both got goals in the 3rd with assists from Malcolm and Matthew.
Wow, what team work! First game first win 5-1!!!
Game #2 Schomberg came to Stouffville, they came prepared and it was a tougher game this time. With Schomberg getting the first goal right away. The kids answered back with a goal by Mason with help from Lucas and Cole. The 2nd period again there was no scoring on either side. The 3rd period started with Schomberg scoring 2 more goals, but the kids kept at it and Lucas scored in the last minute of play in the game.
Close one, but Schomberg tied up the series. But there is always game #3!!
