Ho Ho Ho - Clippers are back on the Go
Hey Clipper fans...
Been missing us?  We have been busy leading up to the big day on December 25th. The Clippers played a number of games, braving the weather to travel to Trisan, bringing home 2 points for their efforts, then facing rival Markham Waxers giving up 2 on home ice.  The weekend play continued on a tough path as TNT trounced through town, punishing the Clippers with their worst loss of the season (7-1).  For good or ill, play was stopped by mother nature as the ice storm prevented the Clippers from heading north

to Georgina the next day.  Phew, everyone signed, as Stouffville en masse took a break to contend with power outages, downed trees, not to mention last minute Christmas shopping.  Not to fear, we'll be seeing Georgina for a reschedule on January 7th in their barn up in Sutton.

Still, the Christmas festivities continued unabated, with a smallened gathering at Sharon and Andy's on the 21st, and a Wolverines vs Irish scrimmage on the 23rd. Officially the Clippers have the week off... except for a few who decided to try their creativity and stamina at 3 on 3 in Newmarket on the 25th.

Wolverines fielded a fine bunch including Pacheco in net, Sindrey, Lewis, Prentice, Gallagher, Edwards, and Luff accompanied by Evan Carter who joined after his brawl in the HL tourney resulted in a broken tooth!  Geiger went blue for game 1 helping out while the team awaited the arrival of the APs. Irish were also we'll represented with guest star Matthew Montanari in net, and special guest and darling on the ice tip she gets mad, Maaaaaaarrrrlie  Krooooooouuuuppppiiiissss! The green machine was also represented by Tratnik, Cavanagh, Nebitko, Burrows, and Black, accompanied by Nick Pedro once he completed his HL tour of duty (no missing teeth!).  Geiger sub'd in for Nick for game 1 & 2 and later rejoined in game 4 for Mick, who had Christmas part Deux and a bit of a head mashing to tend to. All was well, all were tired, all players shone, scoring, passing and taking a few penalties along the way (thanks to Mr. Quick whistle) .

Many thanks to dads and moms for giving up your day and many who manned the bench. The whole day was exactly as planned. FUN and a chance to play a whole different kind of hockey. Well done Irish and Wolverines.  I must say, you blue looked particularly smashing donning the green Irish for game 4 against the blue crushers.  Hmmm you won that in your Irish jerseys.  Points go to?????? Oh, and Sandra is seeking a sponsor for new ORANGE jerseys????
