YS SILVER MEDAL WINNERS !!!!!!
In September 2015, I watched the Novice AE Clippers play their first exhibition game against Markham. We lost 11-2, the kids had fun but I thought to myself this is going to be a long season and we will probably have a few more losses than wins. We as parents were prepared for that as we knew only a handful of players on the team had any rep experience.

Over the season the kids learned to skate, play their positions and pass the puck. Comparing the video from September 2015 to March 2016 you would think that you were looking at  a completely different team.

Fast forward 6 months later to the York Simcoe Playoffs:

QUARTER FINALS: With a little luck and some help from Aurora we get past 5th place Orillia to make it to the semi-finals.

SEMI-FINALS: Having lost to 4th place Markham in the 1st round of the OMHA'S we knew we would have a tough battle. The Novice AE Clippers go on a 3 game winning streak and get past Markham on points 7-3.             (3-1-1 record).

FINALS: We had to face off against 3rd place Schomberg who were carrying a 9-0 undefeated streak in the YS Playoffs. This was going to be a tuff task.  The Novice AE Clippers caught Schomberg off guard in the first game with an impressive 8-4 win to break Schomberg's 9-0 winning streak. Series 1-0 Clippers.

Game 2 Schomberg being stunned in the 1st game, finished strong to win a nail biter 3-2. Series tied 1-1.

In the end Schomberg showed what a strong team they were an won 2 strait to take the series 3-1.

Your Novice AE Clippers take the York Simcoe Silver Medal!!!!!!
