Good Week for Major PeeWee AA
After opening the regular season at home with a win over Aurora and then dropping the second game on the road to a tough Barrie squad 6-2, the Clippers continued early season first encounters with their league rivals.

Wednesday saw the Clippers rebound with a solid performance in a 4-2 victory over Newmarket and then hand Newmarket another defeat on Saturday, this time 4-3.

Sunday, the team travelled to Milliken Mills to take on a Markham Waxers team that had rallied with five unanswered goals to knock the Clippers out of a playoff spot in the Vaughan Early Bird tournament. The first period saw the Clippers getting the better of the play, but they were not able convert any of their chances. The Waxers came on strong in mid-game and had our Clippers on their heels for much of the second period. The Waxers took benefit for their pressure with the awarding of the game's first goal. But to the delight of coaches and fans, the Clippers rallied their game in the third and reasserted themselves in the offensive zone. On the power play, the Clippers moved the puck around the zone smartly and were rewarded with a shot from the point redirected into the net. Both teams pressed hard for the go-ahead goal in the dying minutes but the game ended in a well-fought 1-1 tie.

Next up for Clippers will be back-to-back games with Aurora on Oct 10th and 13th.
