Superbowl Sunday - TNT Game 6
It's in the history books and already old news for Clipper followers... But last Sunday the PWAE crew took their black jerseys up the 400 to NTRC to face down the TNT Tornadoes for a rarified clutch game six.  The series went back and forth, with Clippers taking game 1 at home, then losing the next two, resulting in a do or die game 4 in TNT.  The boys took that game handily, with a 10-2 win (although the game sheet missed the final goal!)

Forcing game 5 Friday night at Clipper Complex, the two teams could not push the tie past 3-3 tie that sounded the end of the third period,  in spite of the 10 minutes of OT.  This was a nail-biter by all accounts.  TNT scored late in the third, with under 2 minutes to go... and hope looked lost as the Clipper fans were silenced by the uproar of TNT fans.  But the coaches knew better, and NEVER GAVE UP... and neither did the Clippers.  They got back that goal, and forced the OT... and ultimately game 6.

Game six required a lot of last minute juggling for Superbowl hosts, as the game was set for 5pm.  The game got off to a quiet start,TNT taking the first goal.  But once Luff opened up the Clipper scoring in the second, the bench turned into an offensive onslaught.  The Clippers gained advantage and dominated the chances.  Final tally 6-2.

The photo gallery has the highlights reels - hopefully with some pics of everyone.  Have a look.

ENJOY THE RIDE CLIPPERS!  Onto round 2 of the OMHA series... Barrie White and Clippers have each taken a game, turning what is supposed to be best of 5 to a best of 3 series. Lots of great moments on the ice - come out and cheer on your favourite Clipper... Next game is in Barrie on Thursday, February 18th and the boys will need to overcome the bells, sirens and loud cheering of the hometown crowd.  Show your team support in your Clipper colours.
