It was an exciting weekend of hockey this past weekend at the Justin William’s Hockey Tournament in Cobourg.  The Stouffville Clippers had a roller coaster weekend, with a big win on Friday night against the Pickering Panthers, 6-0.  Sadly, on Saturday, the Clippers seemed destined to stay home after two losses, the first against last year’s OMHA champs, the Oakville Rangers, 4-2 and the second against Ajax Knights, 1-0.  Surprisingly, Sunday morning, the boys were called to play in the semi-finals against Clarington.  With the score at 3-0, Stouffville turned it on in the third period tying the game at 5-5!  Overtime went into shootouts.  On the forth shot, Cooper Atkinson scored to give us the win.  Our next and final game to play for the championship was against our new nemesis, the Oakville Rangers!  Another exciting game ensued.  The boys played three hard periods, beginning the third with a comfortable 2-0 lead.  Oakville came on hard and tied it up by the time the clock ran down.  The second overtime game of the day ended with a definitive goal from Tyler Pellizzari who ended the game the way he started it with a rainbow shot from the point.  It was an action packed weekend of hockey ending with the Championship!  Good on ya, boys!  What a great way to start the season.  Go Clippers!
