There will be 2 points for a win, one point for a tie and 0 points for a loss. In addition, points per period will be awarded as follows:
- one point for winning the period
- 1/2 point for tying a period
- 0 points for losing a period
- Total points 5 awarded / game
In the 16 team divisions, the teams will be placed in 4 pools of 4 teams. In the round robin, each team will play the other teams in their pool. At the end of the round robin, the first place team in Pool A will play the first place team in Pool C in the first semi,with the winner advancing to the Gold Championship. The losing team will advance to the Silver Championship. In the second semi, the first place team in Pool B plays the first place team in Pool D. The winner will advance to the Gold Championship and the losing team will advance to the Silver Championship. The next two teams with the best records will advance to the Bronze final and all other teams will be eliminated.
