Credit Valley Wolves to Represent GTHL in OHFs
The Credit Valley Wolves will represent the Greater Toronto Hockey League at this year's OHF Midget A Championships to be held in Stouffville April 8-10.
The Wolves, who finished in first place in the Mississauga Hockey League regular seaon, defeated Vaughan Panthers and Hillcrest Canadiens in a six game round robin series to determine the GTHL entry in the provincial championships.
Vaughan and Hillcrest each finished first in their respective conferences of the GTHL Midget A division.
Apart from the host team from Stouffville, the remaining entries in the 2011 Midget A OHF Championships have yet to be determined. Stouffville is currently embroiled with Ajax Knights in one OMHA semi-final playdown series. The winner will face either Brampton or Amherstburg for the OMHA Championship. Should Stouffville emerge as OMHA Champion, whichever opponent they defeated in the finals would also gain entry to the OHF Championships.
Playdowns presently underway in The Alliance and the Northern Ontario Hockey Association will determine the remaining two OHF entrants.
