The WSMHA will be hosting their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday April 17, 2024. The meeting will take place at The Stouffville Legion located at 150 Mostar Street and will commence at 7:30 pm. The meeting is open to all current members (or guardians of any player under the age of 18) and everyone is encouraged to attend.
In October of 2021, the Ontario government updated their rules for not-for-profit corporations under the Not-for-Profit Act,2010 (ONCA). The Act provided not-for-profit corporations a 3-year transition period from the October 19, 2021 date to make any changes necessary to their governing documents. Over the past year, the WSMHA Board of Directors has working with the association's lawyer to make any necessary changes in order to bring the current bylaws up to date and make them compliant with the new Act. The WSMHA is a not-for-profit corporation operated by a volunteer Board of Directors. As well the coaches, trainers, managers, convenors and on-ice assistants are also volunteers that are giving of their time to bring the players of Stouffville the best possible hockey experience that they can.
