There is no sweeter place to win than home! Thursday the Novice AE Clippers defeated the Newmarket Redman 3-2 in what can only be described as a very spirited game. Despite being out-paced by the skilled Newmarket team for most of the game, the Clippers capitalized on the chances they got and worked hard to put pucks behind the Redmen netminder. Scoring for the Clippers was Matthew G. (his second goal in as many games), assisted by Sebastian S. and Ryan O. Then, just fourteen seconds later, Owen U. scored his second goal in two games, with an assist by Madison R. The winning goal was unassisted and potted  by Brandon J.—his fifth goal in four games!

Not only was the scoring remarkable, but the defence was on fire. After blocking a shot with his skate, defenceman Ryan O. next batted down the rebound with his glove! Clipper goalie Lysander K. made 13 saves for his first win of the season. All said, an amazing team effort for a well deserved team win!
