2010 Bradford Blue & Gold Tournament Champions

What an exciting finish to our first tournament of the year.
The shootout win over Orillia in the semi-finals was exciting to watch.
The championship game against Bradford was a much more demanding game than the 7-2 score would indicate.
Our team played their hearts out. At times we were pressed pretty hard but we didn't break. In fact, our will to compete was evident and we pushed our opponents right back. They played hard for each other which is something we spend a lot of time talking about in the room.
Competing and learning to win is a process and we passed our first lesson with straight A's this weekend.
It's really special to watch kids as they begin to believe in themselves, their team mates and their team.
I would like to thank our parents for your time and support during a busy weekend.
Balancing tournament schedules is a challenge and the team staff does appreciate your support and commitment.
A special thank you to our 17 hockey players who created special memories for all of us this weekend. I often tell them to "go be great" and this weekend they certainly did that.
Very well done boys!
