Minor PeeWee A's clinch 2011 NobleKing Challenge Cup
Submitted By Lisa Ross on Monday, January 10, 2011
What an effort by the Stouffville Clippers Minor PeeWee A team in winning the 2011 NobleKing Challenge Cup on Sunday with a 5-4 victory over the Oshawa Minor Generals.

The team headed into the finals battling some fatigue, having played 6 games earlier in the week in addition to some flu bugs and injuries. Despite this, the team responded Sunday evening with a complete team effort to bounce the Generals in the final.

This is the Clippers' second tournament championship this year, along with two silver medals from our other two tournaments. Making the finals in all four tournaments is a testament to the kids and how they have learned to "do the little things" to be successful.

It was an impressive total team effort.  Watching our eleven-year-olds compete for each other, play unselfishly and sacrifice for one another makes the coaching staff very proud. This is a very special group of kids who have accomplished so much together.

Let's try to continue our momentum as we complete the York Simcoe regular season and prepare for the play-offs. Congratulations team!
