HEAD COACH - DON SHAW
With 28 years of coaching experience across all age levels, Coach Don brings dedication, leadership, and a proven record of success to minor hockey. A former OMHA Midget Champion as a player, he carried that competitive standard into his coaching career.
Most notably, Coach Don captured an OMHA Midget Championship in Stouffville during the 2011–2012 season — a testament to his leadership, preparation, and commitment to team success.
His coaching philosophy is simple: put in the hard work and the results will show. He emphasizes commitment to teamwork, respect for teammates and opponents, and pride in representing the organization.
Coach Don encourages his players to be creative and not be afraid to make mistakes. He believes growth comes from learning and competing with confidence. Above all, he teaches that strong teams build each other up — they don’t tear each other down.
For Coach Don, success is measured not only in championships, but in the character, resilience, and respect his players carry long after the season ends.
