The WSMHA provides 100% refund of certification course fees and Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) fee for volunteers in our hockey program. Expenses such as lunch, parking, or mileage are not refunded. Refunds will be for expenses incurred for the current season, past seasons expenses will not be reimbursed
Reimbursements must be submitted no later than March 31
to be processed prior to the end of the season.

If photo copies are required they can be done in the hockey office. You will be notified when the reimbursement cheque is ready for pick up at the hockey office.
Pictures of receipts attached to an email will not be accepted
The original VSC must be on file in the hockey office in order to be reimbursed. Photo copies or emailed pictures of the VSC can be used as proof but will not be reimbursed.
Please submit all your expenses on one form when you have completed all courses required and you will be reimbursed with one payment.

Reimbursement will be processed for the minimum certifications required to roster you to your team and you have submitted a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC). Refer to the 2022-2023-TEAM OFFICIAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
for the minimum qualifications required at each level.
You are welcome to take a higher level courses (Level 2 Trainer Certification, Coach Development, etc.), however, we will provide a refund based on the cost of a certification clinic at the minimum certification required.
If you choose to take several Continuing Education Courses to accumulate points as opposed to one re-certification course, once you accumulate sufficient points to qualify for re-certification, please submit your request for refund with proof that you have been re-certified. You will be refunded the standard rate for the cost of a re-certification course if the combined cost of the Continuing Education Courses exceeds this amount.
