HEAD COACH - JEFF KATSORAS

BACKGROUND
I am a dedicated parent-coach with over 35 years of hockey experience and a passion for developing young athletes. For the past seven years, I have coached youth sports, including four years at the competitive level in both hockey and baseball within the Stouffville community.
As a business owner and having grown up playing competitive sports myself, I understand the importance of discipline, teamwork, and leadership, and I take great pride in serving as a positive role model for our athletes. Originally from Markham, I have lived in Stouffville for the past seven years with my wife and our two sons, ages 9 and 11.

PROGRAM/PHILOSOPHY/GOALS
My coaching philosophy is built on three core pillars: fostering a love for the game, promoting continuous development, and instilling life skills that extend beyond competitive sports. I believe that when players truly enjoy the game, they are more engaged, motivated, and driven to improve. By creating a positive and challenging environment, I aim to cultivate a passion for hockey that lasts a lifetime.
Development is at the heart of my program—not just in terms of hockey skills, but also in building character, resilience, and a strong work ethic. My goal is to help players grow both on and off the ice, equipping them with the tools needed to succeed in any endeavor they pursue.
Effort, attitude, and accountability serve as the foundation of my coaching approach. I expect players to give their best effort in every practice and game, maintain a positive and coachable attitude, and take responsibility for their actions and commitments. These values not only contribute to individual and team success but also prepare players for the challenges of life beyond the rink.
