HEAD COACH - CHRIS GUBB

Playing History

I grew up playing high-level hockey and continued my career at the junior level, where I developed a strong understanding of the game, leadership skills, and the importance of teamwork. Those experiences shaped my work ethic, hockey knowledge, and approach to leadership both on and off the ice.

Coaching Philosophy

In minor hockey, my focus is on developing each player’s skills, confidence, and hockey IQ. I emphasize strong fundamentals, proper habits, and game awareness so players understand why they do things on the ice, not just how. Practices are structured, engaging, and purposeful, designed to support individual growth while reinforcing a team-first mindset.

Beyond on-ice development, I am passionate about using hockey to teach life lessons. The game provides an opportunity to build character, accountability, resilience, teamwork, and leadership. I strive to create a positive, supportive environment where players learn to work together, support one another through challenges, and take pride in being part of a team.

My goal is to help young athletes grow as players, teammates, and people—preparing them for success both on and off the ice.
