The OHF has announced the introduction of a new Music Policy, along with amendments to the Code of
Conduct and Helmet Policy. These updates reflect recent operational requirements and Member
feedback to ensure consistency and clarity across all applicable programs. A detailed summary of revisions
and new policy additions can be found below. All policy amendments are effective immediately.

Code of Conduct
Wording was added to each Code of Conduct; the paragraph number is listed under each Code of Conduct:

“Shall conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner within all arenas and facilities. This
includes but is not limited to: treating staff, officials, players, parents, and spectators respectfully,
refraining from disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe behavior, ensuring the facility is used responsibly and
left in good condition, and complying with facility rules and regulations (ie. adhering to OHF Music Policy,
use of balls and equipment during warm-ups, warm-up exercises, permitted arrival times for ice times,
etc.)”

Helmet Policy Changes

1.3. All fines will be collected and retained by the Member the infraction occurs in.
1.4. Sanctions for non-compliance:
i). The first infraction by a Team shall result in the Head Coach being suspended from all hockey
activity for two (2) weeks or a minimum of 3 games (whichever is longer) and the Association
being fined $250.
ii). For a second infraction by the same Team, the Head Coach shall be suspended from all hockey
activity for one (1) month, and the Association shall be fined $500.
iii). For a third infraction by the same Team, the Head Coach shall be suspended from all hockey
activity for one (1) year, and the Association shall be fined $2,000.

If the Team’s Head Coach did not participate in the on-ice activity where a breach of this policy occurred,
the Team Official acting as the head coach for the on-ice activity will be the person held responsible for
the breach and against whom the suspension will apply.

The OHF Music Policy is a newly implemented policy that sets standards for how music can be used during
all hockey-related activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.
