2017-18 Rep Coaches
Submitted By charlene on Tuesday, January 31, 2017
It’s that time of year when the arenas are abuzz with rumours about who will be coaching which team next season.  Let’s try to put some of those rumours to rest- at least for a few more weeks:

No coaches have been selected for next season. Anyone suggesting otherwise is either mis-informed or telling a big fib.
All coach candidates (returning and new) must apply, and the deadline for applications is February 11.

All coach candidates (returning and new) must go through the interview process to be considered by the Coach Selection Committee, and interviews will not be scheduled to begin before February 13.

The Coach Selection Committee’s choice of coaches will not be limited to applicants if, in its opinion, none of the applicants for a position are suitable for that team.

The Coach Selection Committee will not determine the successful candidates until all candidates have been interviewed.

The interview process can take several weeks. The WSMHA is targeting no later than March 15 to announce its coaches for next season.  In the meantime we suggest that everyone take a collective deep breath and enjoy the play-offs!
