Tryout Fees:

A flat fee of $80 per player is required to attend rep tryouts in Stouffville regardless of the number of tryouts a player attends. Please note: There are no refunds. No Cash will be accepted at the Tryout Desk: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Android Pay and Debit.

Tryout Jerseys:

A loaner jersey with a number will be provided to players for tryouts.Goalies are asked to bring their own jersey.

Under 14 to Under 18:

Any player hoping to play REP hockey (AA or A) for Stouffville is expected to attend the AA tryouts for their age group. However, for divisions where we are offering MD as the 2nd team, players who do not wish to participate in a league where body checking is permitted are not required to attend AA tryouts i.e., they can attend MD tryouts only.Players who try out for but fail to obtain a spot on the AA may request an “NRP Passport” if it is determined that there is no Stouffville A Tryout at that level and may attend “A” tryouts at a nearby “A” centre such as East Gwillimbury, Georgina or King. Such players are still eligible to return to Stouffville to try out for MD if applicable. Please note: NRP passports to try out at an “A” centre will not be issued to players who do not first attend AA tryouts.

Under-age Players:

Players who wish to try out for a Stouffville AA rep team in the next older age group may do so if they obtain a permission-to-skate from the WSMHA Hockey Office prior to the tryout. This is only an option for AA or A levels U12 and above. U11 and below must follow Hockey Canada Pathways rules.

Formation of Teams Note:

The formation of all teams is dependent on having enough players and goalies, and the availability of a coaching staff. The WSMHA cannot guarantee that all teams listed will be rostered. No tryout refunds will be given if a team cannot be formed.

NRP Info:

Non resident players (NRP) with a "passport" (for AA teams) are not required to register before tryouts.

AAA Tryouts:

Any Stouffville resident planning to attend a AAA try out must obtain a permission-to-skate form from the Hockey Office prior to the try out. You will not be allowed on the ice without this form. Stouffville residents may try out for Markham Waxers at AAA; they may try out with another AAA team if they first obtain a permission-to-skate from the Waxers.
