Tryout Registration: To help speed up the process at the registration table, please fill in a rep try out form at least 3 days prior to the try out.

Tryout Fee:
A flat fee of $80 per player is required to attend the REP tryouts in Stouffville regardless of the number of tryouts a player attends. Please note there are no refunds.

No Cash: New this year we will accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Android Pay as well as Debit.

NRP Information: Non resident players (NRP) with a "passport" (for AA teams) are not required to register with the WSMHA before tryouts.

Tryout Jerseys: A jersey will be loaned to players for tryouts.  Goalies are asked to bring their own jersey.

Goalies Tryouts: All goalies (U12-U18) trying out for a Rep team must attend the goalie session on Friday, Sept 17 - 6:00 pm for U12 - U14 and 7:00 pm for U15 - U18 at Stouffville Arena. There is no charge for the above session. All goalies must still attend their team tryouts and pay the $80 tryout fee at that time.

U9 to U11:
The WSMHA Tryout fee includes the Hockey Canada Pathway skates and all players are welcome to attend these skates. All players trying out for rep teams at these age groups are expected to attend the AA tryouts; if they attend the AA tryouts, but fail to make AA team, they can proceed directly to AE tryouts for their age group.

U12 & U13: All players trying out for rep teams at these age groups are expected to attend the AA tryouts; if they attend the AA tryouts, but fail to make the AA team, they can proceed directly to AE tryouts for their age group

U12 to U16:  Players who try out for, but fail to obtain a spot on the AA roster may request an “NRP Passport” and attend “A” tryouts at a nearby “A” center such as East Gwillimbury, Georgina or King.  Such players are still eligible to return to Stouffville to try out for AE.

U14, U15 & U16  Any player wishing to try out for rep is welcome to attend both the AA and MD tryouts. However, players who do not want to participate in a league where body checking is permitted are not required to attend AA tryouts ie they can attend MD tryouts only.  Please note: NRP passports to try out  at an “A” centre will not be issued to players who do not first attend AA tryouts.

Under-age Players: Players who wish to try out for a Stouffville AA rep team in the next older age group may do so if they obtain a permission-to-skate from the Hockey Office prior to the tryout. This is not an option for players trying out for AE (ie AE players can only be rostered to an AE team at their cohort).

Note:  The formation of all teams is dependent on having enough players and goalies; and the availability of a coaching staff.  The WSMHA cannot guarantee that all teams listed will be rostered.  No tryout refunds will be given if a team cannot be formed.
