Midget AA Clippers: Mississauga Scotiabank Cup Champions!
After losses in the
finals of the Mississauga Early Bird and the Pittsburgh Pre-Season Challenge,
the Midget AA Clippers finally put it all together, going undefeated to win the
Mississauga Scotiabank Cup with a 3-0 win over the Kingston Canadians. Rhys Garlough led the way with two
goals, with Brent Menzies earning the shutout.
The Clippers made it to
the finals with wins over Waterloo (6-1), Burlington (5-0), Upper Ottawa (6-0)
and Waterloo again in the semi-finals (3-2). Evan Farrell earned back-to-back
shutouts along the way.
Members of the Midget AA Clippers include: Evan Farrell, Brent Menzies, Ben Partridge, Kevin Kozik, Brydon Jewett, Colin Johnston, Rhys Garlough, James Carlin, Spencer Krabi, Nolan MacInnis, Jacob Rintjema, Connor Hicks, Braden Smith, Michael Freitas, Sam Atanackovich, Nick Smith and Tyler Ribi.
