The implementation of Hockey Canada's Initiation Program (IP) with the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) has officially been posted.
We confirm that the WSMHA Initiation Program for the 2018-2019 season will run in accordance with the Hockey Canada Initiation Program for all children with birth years from 2012 - 2014, spread over 3 levels: Acton, May and Hassard.  Please note that in accordance with Hockey Canada's implementation plan, half ice will be played this coming season by the Tyke age group (2011) and extended to the Novice age group in the 2019-20 season. 

As all Associations vary with their age interpretations, the WSMHA follows the OMHA age groupings as indicated in their Programing booklet.If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of the Hockey Canada Initiation Program and its implementation, please see the following information offered by the OMHA:
