BANTAM AA TAKE THE CUP IN BUFFALO!
Submitted By charlene on Monday, December 10, 2018
Facing over 19 teams from across North America, the Stouffville Clippers Bantam AA Team took the Gold this weekend in a game 7 battle against their biggest rival, the Barrie Colts! Arriving Thursday night, the Clippers faced the local Clarence Mustangs team, winning with a score of 7-2.  Friday the Clippers faced the Caledon Hawks with a 10-0 win and the Port Huron Flags with another 5-1 win! Saturday, we met up with the Duffield Devils who beat us 3-1 scoring in an empty net with a few minutes left on the clock!

Making it to the finals on Sunday – we had the potential for three games!  Meeting up with the Whitby Wildcats in the quarter finals, we pulled off a 3-2 win, including a penalty shot!  This win led us to face the Duffield Devils again in the semis.  We outplayed the Devils winning 5-1!!!!

Facing the Barrie Colts from our own loop in the final was truly a nail biter!  Barrie scored in the first period, we tied it up in the second period.  Scoring in the third to take a 2-1 lead, we popped another one in an empty net with 1:24 minutes left on  the clock – winning with a 3-1 score!

After 7 games – we finished with 6 wins, 30 goals for and only 10 against – WOW!!!  Great Job Boys!

Our boys couldn’t be more proud of each other and their hockey club – this was a huge win for our kids, coaches and parent family!  Thank you to our amazing coaching staff for their leading us to a such a memorable weekend and Victory!
