2019- 2020 AGM
Submitted By Louie Volpe on Tuesday, June 16, 2020
On June 16th, the WSMHA held a virtual AGM to finalize the 2019-2020 season. As is customary each year, the association hands out a few awards to volunteers and players.

The Dan McNeil Award is given in memory of Dan McNeil who played for our Association.  While playing for the Uxbridge Junior “C” team in 1992, he was killed in a car accident on his way home from a game. This award goes to a player who stands out among the crowd. The criteria for this award include leadership – on and off the ice, work ethic, perseverance, contribution to the team, and community involvement.

The 2019 winner is Robert Harder

The Steve Wright Award is awarded in memory of Steve Wright, was a long time coach in our association. This award was created to recognize the efforts and contributions of other volunteer coaches, managers, or trainers who consistently demonstrated his/her commitment to the interest of the players of our Association and Stouffville Minor Hockey in general and have gone “above and beyond” in their team official duties.

The 2019 winner is Conner Caderat

The Presidents Award Each is to recognizes an individual for their contributions to this Association that went beyond even the high standards our many volunteers consistently achieve.  Like any volunteer-based organization the WSMHA relies for its success on several individuals who simply show up and take care of their assigned tasks without drama or complaint.  This year’s winner of the President’s award personifies the type of individual the President’s Award was created to recognize.

The 2019 winner is Charlene Mason
