Minor Hockey Paused
Following the Provincial Government’s announcement re: new
Covid restrictions the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville advised that it is closing
municipal recreation and leisure facilities including Stouffville Arena and
Clipper Complex effective Wednesday, January 5, 2022. The closures are
expected to remain in effect until January 26 at the earliest. We understand
that minor hockey programs across the Province will be similarly impacted.
All WSMHA programs will pause starting January 5. The
WSMHA will continue to work closely with the OMHA, YSMHL, the Town of
Whitchurch-Stouffville and local health authorities to ensure a safe and
effective return-to-play plan is in place as soon as conditions permit. We will
keep you advised.
