OHF Championship Tournament Comes to Town!!!
Submitted By Nathan Tratnik on Tuesday, February 22, 2011
The countdown is on!

As our Clippers battle through OMHA and YSL playdowns and look toward winding up their seasons by the end of March, there's a Clipper Crew already lining up their sights for an ALL ONTARIO SHOW-DOWN.

The Midget A Clippers play host to 4 of Ontario's best in the OHF Midget A Championship series at the Stouffville Arena, from April 7-10th.

The Midget A Clippers have enjoyed a long history together, and many successes over the years leading up to what will be, for many of the boys, their final year in a Clipper jersey.  It's an honour to host this prestigious championship, and the Midgets have every intention of making this a home town show-down to remember!

Event planners promise great hockey and great excitement with first class coverage generously provided by WHISTLE Radio and ROGERS.  There's only 6 weeks left before the puck drops, and fundraising for this event is in full swing.  OHF Event Committee Chairman, Mark McMahon, cites that "We're still in need of Corporate Sponsors to pull this altogether, but with help from our community, we're confident we will make our fundraising needs.  Community business partners have a real opportunity here to make a difference, and a little recognition can go a long way in the goodwill department.  Every bit helps, and will make a tangible difference to making this closing out OHF Championship a memory of a lifetime for these hockey players and to our community as we play host to hundreds of hockey families from across the province".  (For more information on sponsorship or advertising opportunities, please contact Mark McMahon through the Hockey Office).

Stay-tuned for more event details in the coming weeks, and check out the link to our local Stouffville community website for additional comments from our own Midget A Coach, Don Easter...

Game 1 leads off on Friday, April 8th (afternoon).

Official Opening Ceremonies will take place on Friday evening, including special guests and the Stouffville Highschool Choir. More details will follow!

Plan to be there for our Mighty Midget A Clippers!
