Welcome WSMHA members to the 2011-2012 season!
While the Rep programme is entering into week 3 or 4 in some cases, for over half of our members in the House League programme, things are just getting started and teams are being sorted out.
We want to remind everyone of a couple of things as we kick off the season...
Firstly, our organization is run with a back-bone of volunteers. Everything that happens in the WSMHA happens because of the commitment, energy and goodwill of our volunteer coaches, trainers, team managers, equipment managers, convenors, and Board members, and on the list goes... Collectively, we owe a big thank-you to the tireless commitment of our volunteers.
Secondly, we do this for the kids.
All of the kids. Please keep this perspective throughout the season ahead.
As parents, fans and volunteers remember that we are role models for the kids. How we choose to act when it comes to hockey sets an example for the kids and projects an image of hockey in our community and of hockey in general.
