Hockey fans and Association members, we're winding down to the final rep hockey games of the 2011-2012 season and we just finished up another tremendous year of house league play with the season ending House League playoffs last weekend. Ever looking ahead, the WSMHA is already laying the ground work for next year.
This season the WSMHA initiated the
KIDS FIRST FUND to help families who need financial assistance to allow their son or daughter the opportunity to participate in hockey. We are appealing to all our membership to consider making a contribution to replenish the fund at this time, so we have the financial capability to support the needs for next year's season.
For teams in rep hockey, at this time of year you will be finalizing the financials for your team and in some cases you will have some small surpluses remaining to close out the season. We would ask for your team's consideration in the possibility of making a contribution to KIDS FIRST as you close out your accounts.
Together we ARE hockey in Whitchurch-Stouffville, and we have an Association and a community we can all take tremendous pride in. We would love to see more of our community feel welcomed and have opportunities to get involved in and play Canada's great game. Your contributions all make a difference!
