2025 REP Evaluations – WSMHA
WSMHA EVALUATION REGISTRATION

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ

  1. REP Evaluation Passport Fee
The cost of the REP Evaluation Passport is $100 and is non-refundable. This passport allows players to attend REP evaluation skates for the age group they purchase the passport for, either starting at the AA level or at your preferred level (**there is no requirement to attend AA to try out for other levels**).

  1. Payment Process
Payment for the evaluations must be made at the check-in desk prior to the evaluation. Payment can be made by credit card or Interac. No cash will be accepted.

  1. Evaluation Registration

  1. Registration is required before attending any evaluations.

  1. Registration opens on April 2, 2025, via Spordle (Hockey Canada). Link: Evaluation Registration Link

  1. Ensure that your Spordle-My Account login (Hockey Canada Registry, or HCR) is active before registering. Password resets can be done through the Spordle-My Account Link.

  1. Players must be registered 24 hours prior to the first evaluation to ensure their name is on the registration list. Late registration may delay your participation.

  1. U14AA/A and Above Players
Players attending evaluations for U14AA/A and above must have completed a checking clinic (goalies are exempt) in the current or previous seasons before attending their first evaluation for contact hockey teams.

  1. Evaluation Team
    The Evaluation Team consists of:

  1. Independent evaluators

  1. Board evaluation committee members

  1. The current head coach selected for the specific team

  1. Player Release for Next Level Evaluations
If a player attends an evaluation, the coach for that team must release the player in order for them to attend the next level of evaluations.
For example, the U13AA coach must release a player in order for them to attend the U13A evaluations.

  1. Evaluation Attendance
Players are expected to attend all evaluations for the team they are pursuing, unless they are offered a position or released.

  1. Players not selected for the AA team can continue attending evaluations for the next team in their age group.

  1. If a player is not pursuing a position on the AA team, they do not need to attend those evaluations, but the Evaluation Passport remains the same.

  1. Accepting a Team Position
If a player is offered a position, the acceptance must be confirmed by registering through the HCR portal before leaving the arena via a link provided by the coach.

  1. This registration confirms the player’s spot and is timestamped. This new procedure, mandated by the OHF, replaces the previous Offer of Commitment form. iPads will be available at the registration desk for your convenience. To speed up the process, please ensure you have your child’s HCR number on hand.

  1. Players must respond before leaving the arena to accept and secure the position.

  1. Underage Players
Underage players wishing to attend evaluations for an older age group must obtain written permission from the VP of Rep. Requests can be made by emailing [email protected] at least 48 hours prior to the evaluation. Please note that a separate Evaluation Passport will be required for each age group.
