With four players still in sick bay and a number playing through nagging injuries, the Minor Bantam Clippers gladly welcomed Barton to the lineup for their road game September 20th in Richmond Hill. Despite dropping a 6-0 decision, there were some signs of life - solid goaltending from Matthews and Stevens, improved battling on face-offs, a five hit game from Dynes and a season high 20 shots on goal including five from Dunlop and four each from VonKaufmann and Strumos. Chins up boys.
Even though we were outshot 38-20 and outscored 6-0, it really does highlight the need for working hard every stride every shift, because that extra effort will take scoring chances away from the other teams and help us find the back of the net.
