IP Select (formerly Tyke C), 2013-2014 (Whitchurch Stouffville Minor Hockey Association)

The Stouffville Clippers IP Select Team put another victory under their belt with a 6-0 victory over the Richmond Hill Stars on Sunday March 2nd in Richmond Hill. Richmond Hill came out strong and put in a great effort. In the end team play proved to be the difference and the deciding factor in the victory. Defense and the forwards continuously chased down Richmond Hill's top players to take the puck back. Forwards and defense also did a great job getting the puck out of our end. It was a busy weekend of tough games for our Stouffville Clippers IP Select team, but they fought hard in the final game vs Scarborough to win 6-2 and become the O.C.H.L. Tyke 6 Gold Tournament Champs! The team worked hard and played their positions.  They went to the net and their passing was AMAZING! GREAT JOB TEAM!

On Friday January 3rd, 2014 at 5pm the Stouffville Clippers IP Select faced off against the Scarborough Ice Raiders. The Clippers defensive play proved to be too much for the Ice Raiders to handle. Good work guys on getting that puck out of our zone and keeping the Ice Raiders shot totals to a minimum. Remember "The boards are your friend". Remember to always protect the house. The offence worked hard and kept putting the puck at a very good Ice Raiders goaltender. With good passes and dedication the offence put up 6 goals for the night. Great passing! Good team effort!  

The Stouffville Clippers IP Select Team got back on the winning track with a 4-2 win over the Whitby Blue Thunder. The Blue Thunder's goalie made it really tuff for us to score but the team never gave up and kept putting shot after shot and going for the rebound (gift). All of the forwards did an amazing job with skating/fore-checking and back checking. Defense were again solid standing up on their blue line and making sure "Our House" was protected. There were many up the boards plays which made it tough for the Blue Thunder to stay in our zone. Congrats goalies on another solid ...

The Stouffville Clippers IP Select Team added a second win to their season with a 5-0 win over the Unionville Jets. Today the team proved that hard work pays off with solid offensive forchecking and solid backchecking.  Both the forwards and defence worked hard and limited the Jets to only 3 shots for the entire game.  KEEP THOSE FEET MOVING!!! Congrats to the goalies on their first shutouts. Great game guys!  Remember HWPO!
