The
WSMHA would like to announce the election of Mike McGuire to the role of
President, WSMHA, effective January 13, 2020. Mike was Executive
Secretary and YS Representative with the WSMHA Board of Directors for the
2018-19 season where he was integral in developing a Community Outreach Program
that positively impacted hockey registration in Stouffville. Mike brings
with him strong hockey background in training and development and has proven
record of steady business growth and structural optimization in his career.
Mike has also been a Coach in the WSMHA for the last 4 years and has strong ties in the community. Mike says “Today the WSMHA has a terrific opportunity for a fresh start. We’ll be looking at the organization from top to bottom, creating structural efficiencies and developing new and exciting initiatives for members of our Association and greater community in an effort to help foster a culture of success on the ice and a life long love of the game for our players and their families.” Mike can be reached on

WSMHA would also like to announce the election of Marc Luff, Candice Miller and Sue Drummond to the Board of Directors and the departure of Brian Mackenzie from his role as President. We thank Brian for his service to the organization over the past 3 years and wish him the best in the future.
