Minor Hockey Town Hall Meeting
Submitted By Charlene on Monday, January 3, 2011
The Whitchurch-Stouffville Minor Hockey Association will be hosting its first Town Hall Meeting Monday, January 10 at Nineteen on the Park starting at 7:30pm.  Parents of players in the Association along with team officials are cordially invited to attend. The primary focus of the meeting will be the proposed changes to regulations governing residency and player movement recently announced by the Ontario Minor Hockey Association and scheduled for ratification at a Special General Meeting of the OMHA on January 23.

The purpose of the meeting is to update Stouffville parents re: the proposed changes, and to establish a forum for discussing the implications for local players and the programs offered by the WSMHA.  What is being proposed represents significant change, and the Board is seeking input from our members as to the WSMHA's position as well as our future options.

The Town Hall Meeting will also represent an opportunity for parents and volunteers to provide input to the Board on other topics of their choosing, or to get answers to any questions they may have related to minor hockey.  We hope to see you there!

Note: The address for Nineteen on the Park is 19 Civic Avenue, Stouffville.
