The OJHL announced that Stouffville Spirit forward Matthew Neal has been named the Player-of-the-Month after dominating the month of January with 36 points in only 11 games played. Matthew finished the season with 100 points in 50 games to finish 4th in the league in scoring.  Christian Finch, another Spirit forward finished 8th in scoring with 83 points.

Spirit defenseman Brennan Serville also had an excellent season and is projected to be drafted in the  3rd or 4th round of the NHL this year.

The Spirit have already had 2 players accept full scholarships in the NCAA and 6 other players are close to making a decision on other scholarship opportunities. Two other players have signed and committed to playing in the OHL next year.
