Minor Midget Rostered Select team - B Champions
The Minor Midget Stouffville Select team were victorious winning the B Championships last weekend at the Oshawa Heritage Tournament.
Coached by Peter O'Boyle, Mike Rankin and Peter Crisolago , the team started off with a 2-2 tie against a team from Brantford with goals scored by Chris Senic and Tyler Krabi.
Moving into Saturday the team won their first game defeating Woodstock by a score of 3-0 with goalie Patrick Coutts earning the shutout for Stouffville. Scoring for Stouffville were Spencer Craven, John O'Boyle and Harrison Roy.
Playing Etobicoke in the third game, Stouffville came out strong but eventually lost the game 4-1 with Cam Nash scoring the lone goal in a penalty filled match.
Advancing to Sunday was a great success for this team and winning the Championships was a thrill for Stouffville as they won the game by a score of 2-0 over Woodstock. Dylan Jacksie and Nash scored and Coutts earning his second shutout of the tournament helping to to solidify the Stouffville victory.
Other team members included Kam Sauro, John MacLennan, Mitchell Bell, Chris Crisolago, Jason Rankin, Michael O'Donnell, Ben Murray, Cody Provis and Melinda Schipper being the team manager
