Clippers Sail through Stars
The Clippers started off a challenging week of hockey on the right foot Sunday afternoon with a strong outing at home against the Richmond Hill Stars.
The Stars came out blazing in the first period building a 2-0 lead but the Clippers stayed the course and slowly but surely began to exert counter pressure. The Clippers clawed back even and then potted three more to take a commanding 5-2 lead. The teams then exchanged goals resulting in a 6-3 victory for the home squad.
Inspiring to parents and fans was the effort in the third period where the Clippers maintained their intensity and focus with the lead to limit the Stars chances of a comeback.
The squad will be traveling to TNT Tuesday and Barrie on Thursday this week for two tough matches that will be a great test of the coaches lessons and messaging to play with energy at all times.
