Every season the WSMHA reaches out to players/parents to get their feedback. The association is interested in your thoughts regarding team staff as well as player/parent opinion on how the season is progressing. Whitchurch-Stouffville children and young teens who don’t know how to skate can learn free of charge this fall, thanks to a local program being offered for the fourth year. Learn to Skate is aimed at girls and boys aged 5 to 14 years old who want to learn the fundamentals of skating. The program, which is being supported by Hockey Canada, is fully sponsored by Stouffville’s Kids First Fund.

Hockey helmets are essential for helping to protect hockey players of all ages from serious head injuries, but not all helmets are created equally. Trusted manufacturers work with third-party testing and certification organizations like CSA Group to rigorously test helmets for safety, durability, and effectiveness. However some counterfeit helmets have recently been discovered for public sale using forgeries of the CSA label. These helmets have not undergone proper safety standard testing and pose a potential risk to player safety.
