Hi Hockey Families,
Due to the Government of Ontario’s most recent round of
restrictions, the Town of Stouffville has unfortunately had to close their
facilities for a minimum of 4 weeks. The Province’s messaging around
reopening is still very much unclear so WSMHA will return all fees for our

The WSMHA
has completed the 2021/2022 coach selection process and are very pleased to
announce the Rep Head Coaches for the upcoming season. We consider ourselves very fortunate as an
Association to have a broad base of talented and dedicated volunteer support,
particularly through our coaches and team management. Our teams'
successes are dependent on the strong foundation of our coaches, trainers and
team managers, and we thank all of our volunteers for their contributions
throughout the unprecedented 2020-2021 season.
The head coaching position requires
particularly strong commitment, leadership and capability, and we appreciate
all of the applicant coaches for their offers to serve our Association and the
players.

been considerable discussion in the Media re: parental concerns about the
health and safety of their children as it relates to the upcoming school
year. Some/ many of you may have similar questions as it relates to the
resumption of minor hockey.
The WSMHA
has been working steadily over the past six months to prepare and obtain
approval for our return-to-play plan. The foundation of this plan is the
health and safety of players, volunteers and spectators. The attached
health and safety plan has been endorsed by the OMHA. We trust that it
will answer any questions you may have re: the measures which will be in place
to protect you and your loved ones when hockey resumes. As always, we
invite your questions and suggestions.
